Garageband as a Language Arts Tool

Few deny the power of music in both learning and inspiration. How many of us learned the alphabet with the power of a song? This class is meant to instruct teachers how Apple's Garageband software may open up new avenues for learning. Even teachers who can't carry a tune in a bucket may benefit from these musical tools. Come see how poetry and songwriting can complement your teaching and inspire a few reluctant learners.

Wiki While You Work

Using wiki pages in the classroom can help students collaborate and communicate. It also provides a place for students to find information about assignments and to complete homework. Learn about the characteristics of wikis, how to operate and manage them, and a variety of classroom applications including how to create a free wiki site to use with students.
