Going Beyond Training and Getting Better Results

An overview of creating a long term training and professional development plan. Strategies for designing a plan to get beyond training to curriculum integration. We will discuss how to measure progress and help teachers know the questions to ask for help. We will share with you some of the specific resources we have created for implementing Smartboards and Smart Response in the classroom. We will also show you how to use the same strategies for any other technology. If you are an administrator, tech leader, professional development coordinator, or team lead, this is the course for you!

Increasing Student Achievement with Assessment Technologies

In this session participants will explore using both physical and virtual Student Response System options to meet the challenges of implementing data driven instruction.  Participants will gain familiarity with various tools within the TurningPoint software to help streamline collecting and analyzing student achievement data.  We will also discuss various learning theories and teaching strategies that can be used to support student engagement and achievement.

Learn how to access information on school performance using the USOE Data Display/ PSchool District Gateway, review school profiles, compare student proficiency rates, analyze detailed assessment data by core curriculum area, create reports, and export data to spreadsheets. The USOE Data Display/PSchool District Gateway session will provide users with the hands-on training needed in order to navigate these on-line systems.
