Avoiding the 'Sink or Swim' approach to technology use: Identifying and teaching concrete skills for success
Too often we assume students will have the necessary skills to use technology for writing, reading, and communication without ever having assessed or taught those skills. This session will highlight the process we have gone through to identify the specific skills students need to use technology effectively in schools and to systematically teach those skills. We will also talk about collecting performance data to see if your student is actually learning those critical skills!
