Don't know where to start? Effective Lesson Planning with Technology

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Do you have exciting technology in your classroom? Do you struggle with time for planning technology-rich lessons? Go beyond projecting an object with a visual presenter (aka document camera) or using an interactive whiteboard as an overpriced screen to integrating the technology into your lesson planning. Learn how visual presenters can add dimension and how students can actively use interactive whiteboards to learn. This presentation explores best practices for utilizing tools to engage students and accelerate learning. Examine sample lessons and discover how to examine them for effective technology use. A helpful checklist is used to evaluate tasks to make sure they are standards-based, engaging, problem-based and/or using technology to enhance academic achievement. Characteristics from the checklist are seen in lesson plans that successfully integrate technology. Learn steps to follow when planning to help decide when, how and if you will use technology tools. In addition, I will share resources to help you on your journey to a fully integrated classroom. Walk away with tips, strategies & more to help you successfully use your technology tools to accelerate student learning.
